We harness the creative talent of youth, connecting them with positive ways to finesse and utilise their skills on livelihoods and positive behaviour messaging.
In turn, they are connected with great mentors across Africa and beyond.
"A great opportunity to boost our skills, stay sharp and get ahead. Industry expert teach us the knowledge and skills to improve on or discover a new career, find our path and start our journey of success... iEARN thank you"
Commendable effort is being made by governments and donors to see to it that in many schools in Africa, blackboards and chalk have been complimented or replaced by laptops, tablets, PCs and data projectors.
Unfortunately, the majority of students are still in their traditional roles of information consumers rather than problem-solvers, innovators, and producers.
We cannot overstate the need to develop 21st century skills among our young people. In iEARN–Kenya we focus on what learning looks like in the 21st century and how innovative teaching practices at all levels (from pre-schools to tertiary level) can support student learning to develop these skills.
